CLARK NAMED CACC WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CALDWELL, N.J. - Senior defender Patty Clark (North Brunswick, NJ/North Brunswick) was chosen the first women's soccer Player of the Week of the 2006 season by the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, the conference announced today. Clark had a goal and an assist as the Cougars went 2-1 during the week ending Sept. 10.

Clark scored the game-winning goal with just 10 seconds left in regulation in the Cougars' 2-1 victory over Mercy College on Sept. 7. Clark dribbled the ball down the right flank near the sideline and lofted the ball towards the goal. Her shot was tipped by the goalkeeper but went just under the crossbar and into the goal. She also had an assist in Caldwell's 2-0 win over CACC foe Nyack College on Sept. 5.

Clark and the Cougars host Georgian Court University in a CACC match on Thursday, Sept. 14. Game time is set for 4:00 p.m. at Caldwell Field.
