PAKNIS SELECTED CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

CALDWELL,
N.J. - Caldwell College sophomore midfielder Kristee Paknis (Whiting,
NJ/Manchester) was
named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Women's Soccer Player of
the Week for the week ending Oct. 15, the league announced. Paknis tallied
both game-winning goals last week, totaling seven points on three goals and
one assist as the Cougars went 2-0.
In the Cougars' 3-2 victory at Queens College on Oct. 9, Paknis broke a 2-2
tie with a goal in the 72nd minute. Then on Oct. 12, with the Cougars trailing
1-0 to Bloomfield College in the second half, Paknis tied the game with a goal
in the 56th minute, then put Caldwell ahead to stay with her second goal of
the game in the 58th minute. She also added as assist in the 4-1 win at
Bloomfield. Paknis leads the Cougars with seven goals and four assists for 18
points this season.
Paknis and the Cougars (7-10 overall, 4-5 CACC) wrap up their conference
schedule with a match at Post University on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Game time is
set for 3:00 p.m. in Waterbury, Conn.
