RICHARD STOCKTON EDGES COUGARS, 5-4

The Caldwell College women's tennis team dropped a close dual to Richard Stockton College, 5-4 Monday afternoon at the Caldwell Tennis Courts. With the loss, the Cougars are now 7-3-1 on the season.

Caldwell's No. 1 doubles tandem of senior Stacie Zafiris (Palisades Park, NY/Palisades Park) and junior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Rutgers) won its match with Kristen Tukel and Victoria Rosenfeld, 8-4. In singles, Manoukian remained unbeaten with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Tukel at No. 1 singles. The Cougars received a pair of forfeits at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.

Next up for the women's tennis team is a home dual with Rutgers-Newark on Saturday, Oct. 16 at 12:00 p.m. at the Caldwell Tennis Courts.
