CARLETON TO COACH COUGAR TENNIS SQUADS8-30-05
Carleton is a 2003 graduate of Caldwell College, where she played basketball for four seasons and was a member of the tennis team for two seasons. As a sharp-shooting guard, Carleton set the school record for three-pointers with 149 in her career, including 64 during her senior season. She became an assistant coach to head coach Nicole Durnien-Amato after earning a Bachelor's degree in communications.
Caldwell College's women's tennis team turned in its best season in 2004, finishing 8-4-1. The Cougars return five players from that squad, including senior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Rutgers), who was a perfect 11-0 in dual matches. The men's team has six players back from last season's 2-9 squad.
"I'm excited and looking forward to getting started," Carleton said. "We have
a solid foundation here with a lot of returning players on both teams, which
will make our building process into a top program much easier."
