MANOUKIAN NAMED CACC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

MONTCLAIR, N.J. - Senior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Reg.) was selected the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week for women's tennis for the week ending Sept. 11, the conference announced. Manoukian won all three of her singles matches last week, all at No. 1 singles, as the Cougars went 2-1.

Manoukian, who lost just five games in her three matches, extended her singles winning streak to 14 matches in team duals, including a perfect 11-0 record last season. She also went 2-1 at No. 1 doubles during the week with partner Erin O'Neill (River Edge/Barnstable Academy).

This is the first season that the CACC is sponsoring women's tennis. The conference will hold team and individual tournaments this fall, with the CACC champions advancing to the NCAA Division II Tournament.

Manoukian and the Cougars return to action on Saturday, Sept. 17, when they play at the University of Sciences.
