WOMEN'S TENNIS TOPS MOLLOY 8-1

ISLIP, N.Y. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team swept the three doubles matches and won five of six singles matches to defeat Molloy College 8-1 in a non-conference dual Saturday afternoon. The Cougars evened their record at 3-3 on the season.

In singles play, freshman Laura Sinisgallo (Colonia, NJ/Mother Seton Reg.), pictured, picked up her first collegiate victory with a 6-0, 6-0 shutout at No. 2 singles. Others earning singles wins included senior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Reg.) at first singles,  and juniors Joellen Keaney (Oak Bluffs, MA/Marthas Vineyard Reg.), Erin O'Neill (River Edge, NJ/Barnstable Academy) and Danielle O'Connell (South Amboy, NJ/St. John Vianney) at third,  fourth and sixth singles, respectively. 

Manoukian and O'Neill were victorious at No. 1 doubles, as were O'Connell and Keaney at No. 2 doubles, and Sinisgallo and sophomore Patty Messick (Penns Grove, NJ/Penns Grove) at No. 3 doubles.

The Cougars host N.J.I.T. on Wednesday, Sept. 28, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at the Caldwell Tennis Courts.
