CALDWELL BLANKS GOLDEY-BEACOM, 9-0

CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team won all seven matches contested to defeat Goldey-Beacom College, 9-0 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference dual Wednesday afternoon at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts. The victory gives Caldwell an overall record of 2-2 and also evens their conference mark at 1-1.

The Cougars opened the dual with a pair of wins in doubles. Sophomore Jacquelynn Ross (Millburn, NJ/Mondeor) and freshman Brittni Frantellizzi (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley), pictured, won their match at No. 1 doubles, and senior Danielle O'Connell (South Amboy, NJ/St. John Vianney) and freshman Jessica Ouderkirk (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) combined to win at No. 2 doubles.

In singles, seniors Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Regional) and Joellen Keaney (Oak Bluffs, MA/Martha's Vineyard Regional), junior Patty Messick (Penns Grove, NJ/Penns Grove) and sophomores Emilie Skidmore (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Twp.) and Laura Sinisgallo (Colonia, NJ/Mother Seton) each won their matches in straight sets. Caldwell won points at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles by walkover.

The Cougars next play at Post University in another CACC dual on Thursday, Sept. 21, beginning at 3:00 p.m. in Waterbury, Conn.
