GEORGIAN COURT TOPS CALDWELL IN WOMEN'S TENNIS

N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team lost a Central Atlantic
Collegiate Conference dual at Georgian Court University, 6-3 Wednesday
afternoon. The cougars are now 2-2 in the conference and 3-4 overall, while
the Lions are 4-1 on the season and 3-1 in the CACC.
Senior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Regional),
pictured, remained unbeaten in singles play with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 victory
over Dunja Dunda at No. 1 singles. The match marked the first time this
season Manoukian (6-0) had to go to three sets for the win. Freshman
Brittni Frantellizzi (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) also won at No.
4 singles for Caldwell. In doubles play, senior Danielle O'Connell
(South Amboy, NJ/St. John Vianney) and sophomore Emilie Skidmore
(Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock Twp.) earned the Cougars' only doubles point
with an 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles.
Caldwell plays its third dual in as many days when the Cougars face Adelphi
University on Thursday, Sept. 28 in Garden City, N.Y.
