3-2-07
CALDWELL, N.J. - Caldwell College women's tennis player Oksana Manoukian
(Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley Regional) was honored with a Resolution of
Appreciation by Caldwell College President Sister Patrice Werner and
the Caldwell College Board of Trustees. Manoukian was presented with the
Resolution at a Board of Trustees meeting on Thursday, Mar. 1.
Steven M. Freeman, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Dean
Johnson, Associate Director of Athletics, also honored Manoukian with
the resolution, which concludes: "Now therefore it be resolved that the
President of Caldwell College Sister Patrice Werner and the Caldwell College
Board of Trustees celebrates with Oksana Manoukian her victories and
appreciates her dedication and outstanding sportsmanship."
Manoukian, a senior at Caldwell College, captured the Central Atlantic
Collegiate Conference Singles Championship last fall to become the first
Caldwell student-athlete to win an individual conference title in any sport.
The CACC crown completed a perfect season for Manoukian, who went 21-0 in
singles matches in 2006. She also won the NJAIAW singles tournament on Oct.
8, defeating a pair of players from Division I Princeton in the final two
rounds.
In her three seasons at Caldwell, Manoukian compiled a record of 44-3 in
singles matches. She also turned in a 23-14 mark in doubles play.
