 CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team won all three
doubles matches and five of six singles matches to defeat Molloy College,
8-1 in a non-conference dual Wednesday afternoon at the Caldwell College
Tennis Courts. The victory evens the Cougars' record at 6-6 on the season.
Senior Oksana Manoukian (Old Tappan, NJ/Northern Valley
Regional), sophomore Emilie Skidmore (Pompton Plains, NJ/Pequannock
Twp.), freshman
Brittni Frantellizzi (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley), senior
Danielle O'Connell (South Amboy, NJ/St. John Vianney) and junior
Patty Messick (Penns Grove, NJ/Penns Grove) won their singles matches at
first, second, third, fifth and sixth singles, respectively. In doubles,
Manoukian and Frantellizzi were victorious at No. 1 doubles, senior
Joellen Keaney (Oak Bluffs, MA/Martha's Vineyard Regional) and sophomore
Jacquelynn Ross (Millburn, NJ/Mondeor) combined to win at No. 2
doubles, and O'Connell and sophomore Laura Sinisgallo (Colonia,
NJ/Mother Seton) won their match at No. 3 doubles.
The Cougars host the University of Sciences in their final CACC dual on
Sunday, Oct. 8. A victory for Caldwell clinches fourth place and a berth in
the CACC Team Tournament. The dual begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Caldwell
College Tennis Courts.
