WOMEN'S TENNIS RANKED FIFTH IN CACC PRESEASON POLL
8-30-07
CALDWELL, N.J. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team was chosen fifth
in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Preseason Poll, according to
the league's eight head coaches. The Cougars received 28 points in the poll,
which tabbed Holy Family University as the favorite for the upcoming 2007
fall season.
Head coach Michael Lukacs begins his first season at Caldwell with three
players back from last season's team that went 6-7 overall and finished
fifth in the conference standings. The Cougars must replace last year's CACC
singles champion Oksana Manoukian, who graduated this past spring.
The 2007 season starts on Wednesday, Sept. 5 for Caldwell, when the team
hosts Adelphi University at 3:30 p.m. at the Caldwell College Tennis Courts.
