WOMEN'S TENNIS BEGINS SEASON WITH LOSS AT USP

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Caldwell College women's tennis team dropped its
season-opening dual to the University of the Sciences, 8-1 Saturday
afternoon in Philadelphia. Freshman Kirsty Leedham (Ellesmere Port,
England/Cheshire Academy) won her match at fifth singles for the Cougars'
only point. With the win, the Devils improve to 2-0, while Caldwell begins
the 2007 season 0-1.
Leedham defeated Quyen Vo, 8-6 in a super set to pick up her first
collegiate victory. USP captured all three doubles matches and won the
remaining singles matches in straight sets.
Caldwell plays at Ramapo College on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 4:30 p.m.
