Head Coach Bruce Hamburger
Kean University '84
First Season

Bruce Hamburger begins his first season as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Caldwell College. Hamburger, a lifelong tennis player and follower of the sport, is a current member of the United States Tennis Association. He served as the tennis coordinator of the Long Beach Island Jewish Community Center for five years, which involved giving tennis lessons and organizing tournaments. College coaching is not new to Hamburger, who has been a college basketball coach for the past 22 years. He will also serve as an assistant coach for the Cougars' men's basketball team.

"I'm very excited to become a part of the Caldwell College community and work with the student-athletics to help them get the most out of their college experience," Hamburger said. "Both tennis teams have a strong foundation of returning players, and I think we can be successful right away."

Hamburger received his Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Kean University in 1984. He also earned a Master's degree in Counseling Education in 1987. A native of Maplewood, N.J., Hamburger currently resides in East Orange.
