Summer Program Residence Counselor (Temp)

  • Responsibilities/Description: The Residence Counselor resides on campus during the EOF Summer Program in order to reinforce dorm rules and maintain discipline among the EOF student population. The counselors will also facilitate workshops and group activities, offer general academic support, and help students establish effective college survival skills. Employment will run from June 29th through July 31st. Hours will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. on Sundays and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. Monday through Thursday.
  • Education/Requirements: Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Sociology required; plus one year of previous counseling experience. Candidates should possess good communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work on a professional level with students, faculty, and staff.

Lifeguard (temp)

  • Responsibilities/Description: The EOF summer program lifeguard is responsible for maintaining discipline around the pool and monitoring the area for safety incidents, weather conditions, and unusual activities. Duties also include cleaning the pool and ensuring the security of the area before leaving each evening. The position will run from June 30,2008 to July 31, 2008. Hours are 5:00 pm to 8:00pm Monday through Wednesday.
  • Education/Requirements: Individual must have a valid New Jersey lifeguard license and at least one year experience supervising groups in a pool environment. Candidates will not be considered prior to their senior year of high school.
